Tripod lamp

IKEA Expedit Bookcase turned Art Deco Soho Platform Bed, part 2

Finished up the internal bracing. Moved into place, getting ready for mattress transplant.
I still need to fill in the center to bring it up to level with the sides, otherwise the mattress looks funny. I'll probably use styrofoam.

Still needed to do: the legs of the platform, which I will use the square shelf pieces.

IKEA Expedit Bookcase turned Art Deco Soho Platform Bed, part 1

Here is a IKEA Expedit Bookshelf.

Here is the Bookshelf (actually entertainment unit) disassembled.

Rough layout of the bed.

Plywood base screwed in at the foot of the bed.

Corner brace at the foot of the bed.

Laying against the way, mid flip.

I have to stop here. I need a power saw to proceed. Have not acquired item yet.

Staircase

I've begin to layout the staircase, based on the raw materials I have at hand.
which is 2 pieces of plywood, and a lot of 3 7/8" x 2/3" x 8' wood.

More Kitchen

First time cutting glass. Practice on the horribly ugly wavy mirrors.

Not a bad edge.

After sanding down the razor sharp edge. The bottom edge I sanded down with concrete, it made small chips. The top edge I used a small rock with a fine grane, better results.

Practice.

A good fit.

Finished product.

Kitchen

Installed 3 of 4 under cabinet lights. I've run out of mounting brackets to fasten the wires out of sight. That will have to wait until my next trip to the hardware store.

These stupid stupid mirrors. I will put them to better use.

Installing wall mounting hardware. I fucked up 2 times. Then decided to deploy the stud sensor.

Mirror 1 mounted.

Mirror 2.

Kitchen repaint at about 70% done.

Removed cabinet doors for separate painting.

Installing a light with glue.

Wall Teardown 2

Finished tearing out wood paneling, minus 1 stubbord baseboard. Started patching it up. Not that there is a lot of damage, but the panelling left this vertical stripe pattern from the painting. The last owners were idiots. I put on a coat of paint to see how it would look. I didn't put enough patching, vertical stripes still visible.

More patching.

Fuck me.

Painting Bedroom

Remove godawful mirrors.

Finished one wall, can move bed against it. Ran out of paint, because of harware store fuckup. There are too many types of paint. Seriously.
